Have you found the person in the 1891 census to see if he/she is with family? As Maddie says the most likely reason for the father's name to be left off a marriage certificate is because that person is illegitimate. |

Can anyone tell me please how to find out a persons father. I have a copy of their marriage certificate but for some reason the space for the fathers name has been left empty. The marriage certificate is from 1894. |
