Find Ancestors

I'm looking for my GGranddad's parents. My G Grandad was called Charles william Smith born Humber Hull yorkshire, 1864 on his birth certificate his parents are Thomas and Eliza, Eliza's maiden name being Carr.
I looked for a marriage for Thomas & Eliza, the only one I can find is 1866, Borough Camden.
With all this info, you may ask what is the problem, well I can't seem to find any census of the family at all, I've tried Yorkshire aswell as london. Hope someone can help. Thanks Sue.

Does Thomas have an occupation on the birth certificate?

Who did Charles Willam marry so we can look for him after marriage?

Where exactly do you mean with Humber Hull ?

The only census I have ever found on Charles William smith is the 1911 census he's married to Ada and lives in Grimsby.

Sorry you asked me what was Thomas's occupation. He was a dock side labourer.

Does his birth cert not give an occupation for his father

yes charles birth cert does give an occupation, I've told you a dock side labourer.
