Hello, could someone please look for the above. He was born 1850 at Winlaton, Tyneside and will probably be in the Tynemouth/Northumberland area. He is married (wife Elizabeth but she and her son Joseph are with her brother at Aycliffe details of which I have got so I don't need a look up for her thanks). His occupation is probably blacksmith. Would like to know who he is with and where. Thank you. |

Hello, thanks all. Yes Mel. On the 1871 census she is at Aycliffe as above and it says Elizabeth Forster and Joseph Forster aged 1. However, I am still looking for their marriage. She was also born 1850 and Forster has been spelt Forster and Foster. Her maiden name was Thompson. |

Well the only one I can see who is a Blacksmith is the one that K and Prickly holly put up. It says (I think) he is unmarried. |

Although it says eliza she is called Elizabeth. I can only think maybe they didn't get married at all. They did go on to have several more children. Thanks. |

I think I've taken a wrong turn somewhere down the line. I have now found a baptism for Eliza daughter of Robert and Ann who are her parents. Also found a marriage of Eliza Thompson to James Foster Sept Q 1867 and a birth for a Joseph Humble Foster March Q 1870 but not sure if its their son. Oh dear, I think its back to the drawing board :-( |

That is what bothered me when you stated her name was Elizabeth......because she appears as "Eliza" on all the census records. |

Just got back in after nipping out. Your right Holly. Joseph Humble is not their son. Ichecked on the 1881 census. I am now trying to find them in 1881. Always assuming she married James, it was in Auckland I think it may be him (maybe!). |
