Lynn, although I went to school there I didn't live in the immediate area (I was about 20 miles away). |

Thanks for your help with the address and phone number. Is it a big cemetery i.e. would it be easy to find a grave or would my Aunt need help finding the grave once she has the number. Do you know if the area well, my Aunt went to school there in the 1930's the school was near to the Barracks which I'm guessing must be close to the cemetary. |

I used to go to school next to that cemetery, wouldn't expect it to come under Durham? |

LYNN.. have had a look at st nicholas cemetary.. cant find a list of names.. but i have a website DURHAM COUNTY CEMETARY RECORDS, it lists the cemetarys in the area but no st nicholas.. you have to look at each one to find the names.. it takes time but is interesting... i did find another site where you type in the name but there was lots of james richards but not your one....i have been to the newcastle council a couple of years ago and they were very helpful with assisting me with my nans birth cert so email them and see how you go... :-D |

Many cemeteries hold their own burial records! if the cemetery is manned you could email / phone & ask if they will do the search for you, they may make a charge for doing this some do some don't & costs can vary. |

I am trying to find the grave of James Kimberley Richards who died 28/1/1938 in Newcastle. I understand he is buried at St Nicholas Cemetary, Newcastle. I live to far away to search the records at Newcastle myself. Could somebody help to search or know if the records on online somewhere. I am asking this on behalf of his daughter who would like to visit his grave. |
