Do you have an exaact date of birth for him from his death registration please? Is it a common surname? Have you found his birth registration on FreeBMD?

Do you have his marriage certificate to get his father's name and occupation?

If you give more details someone may be able to help more.

Marriage cert would give the name and occupation of his father

I am trying to confirm the parent of my g-grandfather as he was born just after the 1911 census was taken. So it is hard to confirm my g-grandfathers family in the 1911 census is he doesn't show up. Are their any public records where I could clarify my g-grandfathers family after 1911 other than BMD?
