Have added the family names to the military record above.

Looked at the tree Alviegal found and it's very well researched. The father worked in munitions so was unlikely to be the music teacher remembered.

Will leave the info about Keeran Walter even if just to eliminate him.

There is a tree on Ancestry with a photo of Keeran Walter, 1896 and his brothers, but they have him dying in India. There are no records or date of death though.

There are also 2 trees with Keerran born 1900, but they are private.

I think these are 2 different people.

pm from Tonia:

"Thank you
We believe that Keiran, Keeran Kerran,? Devery's father was a music teacher so your information has got us thinking. Thanks T"

Tonia - do you know if there was a connection to India?

What name do you have for Keerran's parents and siblings (if known)?

(Just use the "add your reply" box below).

Don't know if this is a coincidence with the name:

British Army WWI Pension Records 1914-1920

Name: Keeran Walter Devery
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1896
Age at enlistment: 15
Birth Parish: Jamestown
Birth County: Bengal, East Indies
Document Year: 1911
Regimental Number: L13574
Regiment Name: Gloucestershire Regiment
Number of images: 39 (includes someone else's records mixed up!)

He was a musician on enlistment and was discharged in 1920 on compassionate grounds but it doesn't say what they were. The only family that is referred to is his mother as next of kin in India and some siblings.

ADDED: Parents were John & Esther living Ammunition Factory, Dum Dum Cantonment. Brothers Barney and Patrick. Sisters Winnie, Beattie, Kathleen and Nellie.

Possibly 2 children born

A daughter in 1928, Amersham
A Son? Similar name to the father with a middle initial V in 1931, Uxbridge.

Are you aware of these, or related to them?

there does not appear to be a death for Ivy as Ivy Devery, but she was born 1890 like Grace.

They lived in Tatling End in Buckinghamshire In the 1920's to 1930's, Grace may have lived in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire before she was married, she died in 1934 in Chalfont St Giles Bucks. Can anyone help?
