Thank you Beverly. I have also found a listings for Robert Kirkpatrick and Janet Hunter born at Closeburn - found on family search. I know that the later Kirkpatricks in Australia had residences that they called 'Tynron' and 'Closeburn'. |

If they followed the traditional Scottish naming pattern, his father would be Thomas and hers would be James. (the names of their first two sons). |

On the tenuous basis that his age is right, he's in Dumfries-shire; his sister Helen's middle name is Welsh and there's a Catherine Welsh in this listing . . . this could perhaps be Adam in 1841: |
