does anyone know how to find relatives who are born over in northern ireland. we are looking for tate/johnston family links.
the infomation we have so far is starting from Ian Johnston born Belfast 11/7/1947, he had a sister Hilary born 1949 and a brother born before 1947 but we dont know when. we know there parents were a John Johnston and a Jane Tate we would like to know when they got married and a reference so we can order a marraige certificate. Jane died in 1949/1950 ish. We would love to find out more about this family. we are hoping the great bunch in the community might be able to help us. :-)

BMD's stop at 1922 online for N.Ireland, the only place you will get this information from is at GRONI in Belfast. They can do a search for a fee, but you have to give a rough year as they only search the year you give and 2 years either side. Plus you have to know the area they where born, died or married in. There records will be coming online in October of this year.

hi there
have you tried a website yet called roots ireland they hold a lot of documents for ireland and they expalin when the records over in ireland where destoryed due to war i think this is where i found my irish relations. I hope this helps.

No records were returned for the search criteria given.
Please refine your search and try again.
Please note that there are few records before 1700 and not many after 1920.

I am just after doing that search and this happened sorry :(
