Holdings Information Now I am in England , not NZ but Hugh, Jessie Henderson Johnson (nee Campbell) Hugh's sister and her husband Thomas Newbegin Johnson are all on my tree Hugh died at sea in 1941 on sunk ship MV Silverpalm his name appears on Tower Hill memorial Someone called Donald Hugh Johnson has placed these papers in the care of the NZ library , trying to work out who he is?? Thomas and Jessie had a son Joseph Johnson in 1903 could he be a son of this man? jan any ideas or suggestions gratefully appreciated?

	maybe the same person Appears in the Role from 1963 to 1981 New Zealand, Electoral Rolls, 1853-1981 about Donald Hugh Johnson Name: Donald Hugh Johnson Electoral Year: 1963 District: Hutt Region or Province: Wellington also at same address is Judith Elinor Added....A lso at same address in 1963 is Joseph Johnson, retired. so your idea that Donald is his son may be correct. 	Thank you There is a tree on ancestry which has a ? over Thomas Newbegin Johnson dying in New Zealand but nothing concrete and a death date for Jessie of 19 04 1950 but no place Jan

	Jessie appears in the Roles between 1914 and 1949 New Zealand, Electoral Rolls, 1853-1981 about Jessie Henderson Johnson Name: Jessie Henderson Johnson Electoral Year: 1914 District: Wellington South Region or Province: Wellington along with Thomas Newbegin. New Zealand, Electoral Rolls, 1853-1981 about Jessie Henderson Johnson Name: Jessie Henderson Johnson Electoral Year: 1949 District: Onslow Region or Province: Wellington also with Thomas. Andy

	Thomas appears in the Role until 1963 (when the record stops) He is also at the same address as Donald and Joseph posted above. Andy

	They were in the UK on the 1911 census living with Jessies widowed mother Jessie Campbell (nee Willcox) in Berwick upont Tweed so...........they must have left the UK for NZ between 1911 and 1914 FMP is playing up so cant see that yet J

	What are NZ records like ? do they have an index like we do here to look at ? There was also a daughter Edith May Johnson b 1906 in Hexham is there any sign of her anywhere? j

	Here you go...... New Zealand, Electoral Rolls, 1853-1981 about Edith May Johnson Name: Edith May Johnson Electoral Year: 1928 District: Wellington Suburbs Region or Province: Wellington at same address as Jessie and Thomas only time she appears with Thomas and Jessie, so may have married. I don't know if any NZ BMD and census are available on line. Andy
