There are 2 Condon Baptisms for parents Patrick and Eliz.(Wood) St Mary's-on-the-Hill

Mary Condon Baptised 1 Feb 1863
Mary "Angelina" Condon Baptised 4 Feb 1866.

The Census 1871 for the family should show if Mary (1863) was still alive....

i think i'm going to have take all the certificates out again and try and work all these different name she's given and used and all the different places, but thank you every one for all the info

with the name condon think theres and irish link and my grandad used to all ways be sing the old irish songs aparently that his mother (angelina) sang to them

thanks Pam the seems about right apart form the maria i know they were big Catholics, i found the death of mary a haverty i don't know if that her, and there was an other birth certificate for angelina condon in wedgebuy or wendsbury with thomas as a father but on a censer for her address in lower east street middlesbrough she says her birth place is west brom

thanks for all the help ive got the birth certificate saying mother Elizabeth (i think it says that) and father Patrick, its Angelina's forename that i'm getting stuck on, i don't know if she went by another name, there was something went on with the family when she died about her name but i thought it was over her married name with her being remarried and my mam couldn't remember as she's had a stroke

There is also a copy of the marriage cert to William Gilchrist where she names her father as Thomas Condon !!!!

I 'm pretty sure the mn for Elizabeth is reads DAVIS

Theres a copy of her birth cert on a tree on ancestry, father Patrick, mother Elizabeth. i cant read her maiden name though.

I don't suppose you've got her birth certificate to see who her parents were?

Maybe she was born out of wedlock and her mother subsequently married before the 1871 census. Saying that I can't even see an 'Angelina' born in or around 1866 in Staffordshire.

Have you any more clues?

hi i'm wanting advise on tracing my great gran, I've hit a brick wall. she's Angelina condon born in 1866 in wast bromwich, staffordshire, but did settle in middlesbrough, Yorkshire. she was married to William gilchrist in 1888 in stockton, county Durham, he was born in bill quay, Newcastle in 1861 and had all there children in middlesbrough ive found al that but the beginning of her life and end is a puzzle
i was told she died in middlesbrough in the 30's but can't find it, she was meant to have been remarried to a Mr haverty, i cant find it.
and i also can't find her on no early censers when she was a child.
