You can't get any adoption records Emma, only the adoptee can obtain these. I am assuming she is still alive?

Hi Emma and welcome to the messages boards.

The only birth I can see that fits your info is in Norfolk and has middle initil J. Do you know if this is correct?

If it is then you can order the birth cert which will give at least her mothers name.

She can also apply to see her original adoption file.

Hey, Looking for any help on finding my husbands mothers parents, She was born in 1954 we think and was palced up for adoption her birth name was Susan Downs mothers maiden was Downs but cant find any other link to her due to the adoption does anyone have any ideas on how we can possibly find out who her birth parents were?? Im very new to this and would appreicate any help... many thanks..
