Hi Cherilyn,

You could be right John change his name to John Geary also John Ryan too. I was told my ancestors could be Ryan instead Regan.

I probably will purchase death cerfiticate of John Geary to find his children to see compare mine.

I almost give up on Honora and John Regan SNR, I have searched them since 2005. Really difficult find the information.

Could John have changed his name? Or this could be a transcription error...there were certainly John GEARYs who were convicts - some changed their surname to escape the stigma.

Vicci,

Thanks for an information of Honora McGrath, I have seen them before, one thing is reason how connected to John Regan SNR, No records of marriage certificate for Honora McGrath and John Regan in Australia.
I have doubt if Honora was defacto to John Regan SNR? When they meet in the vessel or Australia. Honora may leave her husband Thomas McGrath for John Regan SNR.
Note: their daughter Mary Anne has no records birth of certificate in Australia, If Mary Anne was daughter to Thomas McGrath instead John Regan SNR?
Honora and John Regan SNR have other child name John Jnr; I have John Jnr’s copy death of certificate in Australia.
I am not sure which of your information with connected to our Honora McGrath.
