I recently posted a request for any information on Mabel Allen born in Hecmondwike, this time I have the CORRECT dates
Born 1891 Death 1914 she was interred at Liversedg Parish Church. Age 23.
Also any information on Walker Allen who I believe was her father born 1861.

Oh dear, the following possibly explains why Walker Allen isn't with his wife on the 1901 and the 1911 census:

The Leeds Times dated 29 March 1890 carries an article about Walker Allen, tinner of Oak Street, Heckmondwike who was charged with assaulting his wife.

His conduct was stated as very unsteady and violent of late.

He had been out drinking all night and when he returned he beat his wife leaving her badly bruised. His penalty was a 40s fine plus costs or 1 month in prison.

Previous mistreatment was proven and a separation order was granted under which he had to pay 12s per week for his wife and 2 children.
