Eringobragh1916 Report 4 May 2013 18:24

I have an Ellen G Chambers born abt 1879 Sandgate Kent.
I cannot locate her 1881 but she is showing in Rickmansworth 1891and in Watford on subsequent Census.
I would appreciate a look up for the 1891 and the 1911 Census if possible.

Thank you to all for the Census info.
Now I know where they were 1881..!
Wonder what happened to the Tobacconists..!!
When Ellen died 1933 she left the equivilant of a nearly Quarter Million £ in today's money but had already spent nearly same amount following the death of her husband 1929...the biggest mystery of where it all came from is yet to be solved.

Gwyn....Looks like the marriage of the eldest daughter ...also the one mentioned in the Will along with bro.John M Chambers...

It has become an interesting ..intriguing piece of "research" .
Ellen G Chambers married a Thomas Deary 1914 Reg.Watford...when they died 1929/1933 respectively they each left a small fortune in todays terms...I was thinking the money may have come from the Chambers side of the family but thats becoming suspect at the moment...The Deary's hadnt a Penny to Bless Themselves when Thomas married Ellen ...of course its possible father Bernard left money to Ellen but that would mean he had also accumulated one large fortune....

Thank you for your time and help.
