I am researching the Aldridge family and the following should be in or around West Horsley in 1841:
William b c 1760 (possibly deceased but no record of burial)
His wife Elizabeth b c 1763 (ditto)
Their 3 children Sarah b c 1789, John b c 1793 (married to Jane) and Elizabeth b c 1796.
Also Elizabeth's son William Flexton Aldridge b c 1816.

Is anyone having difficulty accessing the 1841 census returns for Surrey? My ancestors lived in the East and West Horsleys and surrounding villages for generations. I have previously found their entries through Ancestry, but cannot find them on Genes Reunited. I have even tried other surnames of people who I know lived in the villages, but absolutely nothing comes up. Its as if the 1841 census returns for the area are not included in GR - can that be the case?? Surely not!! If so I feel we are being misled as I was under the impression (when I took out my subscription with GR as opposed to Ancestry!) that the FULL census returns had been included. I am feeling quite frustrated but hope there is a simple explanation. :-S
