Thanks to everyone who's answered so far. The Amersham death was George Peabody Gooch (I have a copy of this certificate.
Before he got married, my George was listed as a footman and on the marriage certificate previously mentioned as a butler deceased.
The individual in Wandsworth is just a person with a similar name but not related.
The New York thread looks interesting but unsure how to pursue it.
