You're welcome.

Not having much luck with William Mitchell - there are just too many of them and I haven't the patience to trawl through every one on the census to see if one had a father William who was an engineer.

Seeing as he was a seaman he could have been from anywhere.

Perhaps someone who enjoys census look ups might be able to help.
