Hi Jackie

Sorry for the delay in replying but i have only just been able to sign back on here since 2pm on Monday!

Have you actually found Richard James on any census record?

He does not appear in any census record with your Richard William and there does not appear to be a baptism record for him.

The information that you good people have given me is great and I am so pleased.

Now I have another small problem with regards to their son Richard James Hales, he married Sarah Ann Elizabeth LEWIS in March qtr of 1860 in Greenwich, I am now trying to find her mother. Her father is David LEWIS and I have tried all the lines I am able to access and I still cannot find this.
I have been trying to work the two together to no avail. Can I ask you if you are able to give me a little more of your time on this please. Maybe it is because I keep having senior moments!!!!!!!! I may be missing the obvious.

Thankyou again
Jackie

The name of his wife will be on the census following the marriage. FMP has all censuses

How did you work back to this man?

When and where was he born?

EDIT

Found him with wife in 1841........but won't deprive you of the pleasure of finding them yourself

Hi, I have not been on here for help for some long time and I have become a bit rusty.
I am looking for a marriage in 1838 between Richard William Hales and one of 4 ladies (Mary Nash, Amelia Asplin, Jane Helen Clement and Mary Barratt). I only have access to Findmypast and FreeBMD at present, so was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me with the correct partner of Richard William Hales.
The marriage was in Sept qtr of 1838 in Stepney.
My thanks in advance for anyone who can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards Jackie :-)
