Marcus

It is unlikely that Cheri would spot this. If you click on her board name you can send her a pm. If she still had the same email address Genes will notify her.

As you are new to Genes you might not be aware that the only notifications that Genes sends are fir pms. Not for posts.

I think this is the marriage you spoke of

1969 SCULLY CYRIL ROGER GILCHRIST SANDRA EASTWOOD AND MEARNS /LANARK

It would appear that his widow returned to Scotland but has also passed on

2010 GILCHRIST SANDRA SCULLY F 62 EASTWOOD AND MEARNS /EAST RENFREWSHIRE

Have you searched on this site as a possible listed if you go by the earlier birth

If your grandfather wanted to follow this up, you could ask him which Tank Regiment he was in and search on line for a reunion/old comrades site.
You may find someone who know Cyril later in his career

Hi
Im trying to locate a 'old pal' of my granddads who he would like information on good or bad, he saved my granddads life back in northern Ireland. In 1971 he believes he was around 20/21 years old, which would put his year of birth somewhere around 1950.

His name was Cyril Rodger Scully, he married a lady in Scotland we believe. and we believe he was born in or around Strood.

From what I have found so far I fear he died young? Although there is conflicting information for a birth result and the original images are also conflicting?

Can someone help advise what im doing wrong or why this conflicting information may have arisen?

Thanks in advance
