littlelegs, It matter to anyone who asks on your other thread?

If you start a new thread offering lookups its always best to close your old thread first to avoid confusion,

Just go to your old thread and Edit the thread title, by adding something like thread now closed

If on your travels you come across a bapt for Henry Mirehouse Norman in Nottinghamshire around 1845, I will be your friend forever.
He´s not on the BMDs anywhere. Have even asked Southport to look for him without success. All his siblings were registered in Notts/Derbys but sods law, my g grandfather can´t be found.
Have been looking for over 20 years, Have him on all the censuses, have his marriage & death, but he appears never to have been born,
The family were fairly nomadic, so he could be in any parish.
Thanks Marion

wisechild,
I have a similar situation with my 3x gt grandfather.
Got birth certs for all his siblings born before and after him but he is nowhere to be found. ( the only 4 possibles turned out not to be him)
Sometimes children were taken in before legal adoption and I've come to the conclusion that he must be have been.

Thanks for that thought Mike, but I´m 99% certain he is the child of Joseph Norman & Sarah Coxon. He fits in exactly between two of his siblings & his mother lived with him & his wife when she was an old lady. Also the Mirehouse name is quite unusual & was the surname of his paternal grandmother.
Think he was dropped from space.

Thanks Lorraine.
You, me & about 12 other people.
It´s either wildly mistranscribed or he wasn´t registered.
