Hello Valerie, just so we can get the right perspective on this - how did you connect to Charles Littlewood?

Charles Littlewood is my Great Great Great Uncle.

The confusion arose with regard to Elizabeth France marr to Charles Littlewood later information refers to Elizabeth as Betty, but on another old marriage bann is a Betty to Charles in 1831 unfortunately the day/date is not very clear.
Much as I appreciate Betty=Elizabeth without maiden names/parents names it leads you down the wrong path. There is history of marriages between the Littlewood and France families.

If Elizabeth was born in 1790 she would have been 41 for her first marriage?

I would have thought this was her baptism

perhaps that's why I cannot find any children.
Also on the 1851 census it shows a Betty age 48 born 1803 & Charles age 54 born 1797 living at Moorbottom Honley. Both on 1871 Census.
