I can see the 5 Hodgkyns children, 1st +4th registered Bournemouth, 2nd and 3rd Poole with 3rd mmn spelt Read others Reed.

Was mum in law married previously - you say she had a relationship. What was her maiden name? I see 3 Reed's born 1918 Bridgewater RD - Ruth P, Mabel M and Alathea A.
Mabel M possibly married in Bridgewater RD 1936 to Hobbs, nothing definite for others

Am not seeing a Hodgkyns/Reed marriage with surname varients England/Wales/Scotland 1934-1956. Maybe they didn't marry but he was happy to give the children his surname

Hi, Thanks to everyone, John Resevere Hodgkyns was supposedly married to my mother in law. They lived in poole dorset. Had 5 children between 1947 and 1953, he disappeared off the scene approx 1956. She had 2 children from as previous relationship. She was born in 1918 in Bridgewater, from what I have dug up about her she has had a pretty checkered life, but as she refused to talk about John we know nothing. Thanks again to everyone

Hi, Thanks everyone, John Reseveer Hodgkyns was supposedly marriaged to my mother in law and had 5 children between 1947 and 1953 by him and then he disappeared approx 1956. She would never say anything to the children. She was born 1918. Has 2 children prior to this in 1944 and 1946. This is in poole Dorset the youngest born in Blandford Dorset. We have no idea where he was born.
