I wonder if any member with full access to Ancestry to look up a Charles Pigdon Boe

I have been going through all my certificates this afternoon and found his marriage to Violet in Dundee but realised I had not added them to my tree for some reason .

I presume they must have gone to Australia after 1946 then.

Jean, when was the son Charles William Boe born? I've found some records for someone with that name born 1922 who had a wife Dorothy.

Jean, check your inbox - I'm sending you a newspaper page from 1938 that has good photos of Charles Pigdon Boe and his wife.

EDIT: Have also sent another couple of illustrated articles, including one of Charles Pigdon Boe's parents golden wedding in 1953.

Thank you so much for the photos, what a bonus, I am gobsmacked .
Charles Boe senior was my grandad's younger brother .
My grandad Samuel died a few years before I was born so I never knew him or seen any photos of him but now I might have a good idea of what he looked like .
The newspaper article states that he worked in a chemist's when aged 12 , my grandad also was a chemists apprentice aged 16 according to the 1891 census, I wonder if it was the same shop?

I have no idea what happened to my grandad between 1891 and 1921 when his 1st child , my uncle Charles was born , I have a feeling he was the black sheep of the family because he is not named in any of the Boe family records .

I don't think the Charles William Boe you found is mine , My Charles parents married in 1929 .
I have looked on ancestry's immigration records and there are a couple of Ch. w. Boe's b. 1930 leaving Australia and landing in Southampton in 1953 and the other one is going to Hong Kong in 1957 with d.o.b. August 1929, I think this is my Charles.

This is the arrival of Chas Wm & wife Dorothy from UK: BOE Charles William born 15 August 1922; Dorothy (nee Bisset) born 13 March 1925; Mark Stephen born ****; Stuart Charles born ****; travelled per STRATHAIRD departing Tilbury on 13 September 1960 under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme

I have edited out sons births as they may still be living. From NAA Recordsearch.

Dorothy died in SA in 2008 aged 82.

Just been checking to see if he was one of my Boe's but can't seem to find a connection .
It shows on Ancestry he was born in Houghton , Durham and married there and I am sure some of my Boe's were living in Durham at one time so I will go through my notes and try and find them ,
