13 year old girls did look alot younger in 1960s than present-day young teenagers.

If you know the address, you could check old electoral lists to find the mother's correct name.
Then you could look for her marriage on freebmd.

Parents' marriage (if they were married) is a mystery.
The one I posted earlier can't be it; no others in England/Wales 1940-60; and there were no Hyland / Lockyer marriages in Scotland 1940-60.

EDIT: None in England/Wales 1930-41, either.

Maybe they weren't married, or married abroad??

Well from what my mums says if she is right, yes Patsy was the eldest, did you find a marriage for Lockyer to Hyland before 1949?

best wishes mfm

Do you think she was the eldest of the three?

There's a feasible birth on FreeBMD - Surname Hyland, mms Hyland, 1951, not Kent.

Hi from a photo i have, i am about 3/4, at the back i was told the names of the girls in the right order .I was born 1957 so that would make Patsy 13 in 1962.

My wife had a look and thinks that Patsy is not 13, possibly younger.

I might be able to rack my mothers mind to see if she knows anymore,

Thanks for all your help,

If you search on Ancestry, there's a marriage for "Patsy" (under 1949 birth name).
Doesn't seem to come up on FreeBMD
.

Sorry, MfM -I don't understand your question.
You were living next door to her in the 1960's.

The birth Gwyn and I found for "Patsy" is 1949.

For mother's name, search marriages in Kent 1959.

EDIT:
Well, maybe not - that seems rather late! But it's the only Hyland/Lockyer marriage anywhere in England/Wales 1940 - 60

EDIT AGAIN:
No, definitely not! Having found Miss Hyland's birth, it would mean she was 12 when Lesley was born!

Don't look just in Kent, Mfrom M - search "All counties". You'll see her then - also Amanda.

There's a possible brother, too in 1961.

Don't look for Patsy, just search on LOCKYER and mmn.

You will find her and she is on a GR member's tree.

Look in freebmd for Lesley b. 1952, then use her mother's maiden name to find her sisters.
Patsy has a very unusual name.
