Trying to Find Marriage in Yorkshire

Milton Report 17 Sep 2013 18:05

I have been trying to find for a long time the marriage of my ggg grandfather, William Brown (born 1789 in Alverthorpe, Yorkshire/baptized May 1, 1789 in East Ardsley, Yorkshire). He was buried May 1, 1831 at St. Michael's Church in East Ardsley. His wife Elizabeth (nee ?) was born 1791 in Alverthorpe and was buried Oct 6, 1867 at St. Peter's Church in Stanley. Based on her age and that their first son, George, was born in 1813, I assume William & Elizabeth were married somewhere between 1810 and 1813. I have found no marriages of a William Brown to an Elizabeth during this time frame or in the Alverthorpe/ Wakefield area. Does anyone have any suggestions?
