The Birmingham records(Baptisms and burials as well) have been added in the last month or so. I've got half a tree of Birmingham Ancestors, so lots of work to do.

Thanks for posting that, Andy - I hadn't realised Ancestry had Birmingham marriages and I have found my grandparents on there. I already have a copy of their marriage cert but it is nice to see the original church record and to be able to correct my grandmother's mistranscribed surname which will help anyone else looking for it!

Have been trying to find Thomas Snr on 1841 census.

There is a Thomas Brach (could well be Beach) as a Scale Beam maker. I reckon that could be him.

Looks like Brass Founder to me. The certificate underneath has the same occupation for the groom's father.

Do you actually have the marriage certificate? If so is there any way you could scan it and send by email or pm through Genes?

I don't have access to Ancestry so can't look at the certificate that way.

I'm at a loss to read an occupation on a marriage cert

The image is available on Ancestry for anyone with access

Marriage of Thomas Beach to Esther Wilkes, Birmingham 1838

What I'm trying to read is the occupation for Thomas' father also Thomas.

Thomas Jnr was (according to census records) born in Birmingham around 1811. This is very consistent. I cannot find a Baptism for him.

I have also checked for any other Beach marriages with father Thomas and cannot find anything that matches.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have all the subsequent info for him and also all info for his wife Esther.
