Not necessarily too young to have served in WW1, although, of course he may have served in WW2 as well.

Born 1901, would probably have been too young to have served in WW1, therefore his records will be available only to the next of kin........(your father, presumably)

They will cost £30.00, and could take several months to arrive.

Death 1918 in 2nd Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea.


From a tree on ancestry owned by a lady called Ann. Is this your tree? It has a lovely photo on it.



And this would be his father.

Good evening all,
Just been to visit my father who is 83 years old and he has informed me that his father was in the Army., so I was wondering if anyone could do a look up for him .
His name was James Thomas Norris born 1901 from the Greenwich area.
