I've tried both too.

Do you have a copy of her marriage certificate to Alexander Crichton?

Have you found Maud in the 1911 census?

Cameron

Cameron Report 3 Jan 2014 20:20

Dear All, I am trying to find the marriage of a Maud Beecham (born about 1888 Keighley) to a Whittaker prior to 1915 when she married an Alexander Crichton in Keighley Yorks. Maud was a widow when she married Crichton.
Maud was the daughter of a Thomas and Emily Ann Beecham (married 1880) not sure when Thomas died as Emily and her daughter Maud were living with a William Daffern and his children in 1891. Maud and William were married by the 1901 census.
I have tried different combinations in search of a Whittaker marriage but no joy, he may have died in the war? Hope someone can help please?
