Although I have over 19,000 posts I have less than two pages 'started by me' so finding them is not that difficult

You may have a lot more pages but if you know what they were about and roughly when you posted them, you shouldn't have that much of a problem

Googling can bring up deleted threads.

When you do an advanced search, which board are you selecting? Although as Jude said, I don't know why you are doing a search - the thread should come up in the list when you click My Threads.

If others can find them, I'm not sure why you can't

If you click on the links they are all still there..........................so you really shouldn't have a problem with "My threads".

Don't understand why you even have to go "search" .....

What happens when you you go "My threads started"????

You need to click on "My Threads"
Read what it says and click on "My threads - started "
A list of threads you have started will appear.

If you have deleted a thread it won't show

We do it through Search or Advanced Search

Only you - or GR - can delete.................so if it wasn't you, get in touch with GR, and ask them what they are playing at

I found all your other threads by using Advanced search.

Thanks Reggie for finding the links -but now my thread has disappeared again

I still can't open the links myself, I click on My Threads, Advanced search typed in username , in the box and changed to Find ancestors --and it just says no matches!

thanks to anyone who was in the process of helping! I'll try again later- obviously gremlins in my system
