I'm looking for the marriage of John Galloway and Cathrine Anders
I think it was 1852/3 in London Middlesex

John born Abt 1828,death 1880,
not sure about the birth date of Cathrine, she was born in Ireland I am told...!!

How did you get back to this couple, Tom?
I can't find a marriage within the dates you mention.
If Mike's census is right, your dates are way out.

To be very honest I looked at his birth and thought Give it 20 years or so hence the date just a guess, sorry if I mislead you.

Your second find where Cathrine is listed as a widow is the one according to my friend who asked for this info, he also states that her birth was abt 1813.
I have just spoken to him hence this reply, I'll now do a search for Cathrine Andrewsand see what comes up......!!

is she Catherine Andrews.......?
I'm also having a real problem finding John Galloway and his parents.

edits (looking at 1871, not sure she is related to Mary?, they share same dwelling, along with families above, 7, Russell Place)

In the 1871 census which Mike posted (Catherine widow), I think that in fact Mary and Bridget Andrews are living next door. The census gives the town of birth of Mary and Bridget (they are different towns) but I'm afraid I can't read them.

If we now know that Catherine was born as early as 1813, it is possible she got married in Ireland. How do you know that John is not Irish as well? It would also be very unlikely that Robert was their only son, there were probably several before him! Getting his birth certificate would give his mother's maiden name.

Mike, I have the people below in my list and yes they do share the same dwelling...!

I think that Beverly has raised a good point in that John Galloway may have been born in Ireland. I will try and find out.

Just in case it's of any use, the Mary Andrews on the 1871 who is in a separate household within the same address as Catherine Galloway was born Wicklow, Ireland. Her daughter Bridget was from Conway.
