It's possible they never actually married, but just lived as man and wife, particularly if one or both of them had been married before and wasn't divorced.

This chap is even older (compared to Ada Louisa Le Marechal), than the previous one I posted was, but his death is registered in the same district as two of the children were born.

There seems to have been at least two, possibly three sons born of the Walker-Le Marechal marriage, two in Winchester and one in Newport.

There is a two year gap between the birth of the third possibility and the first of the children born in Lancashire
