Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace when my Great Grenad father came to England from Southern Ireland. He was Peter Charles Connolly (later Conley), born in1838 in Cork or Wexford. His father was Michael Connolly.
Peter married Ann Sweeney from Manchester, in 1861 in Sheffield. His father and her father were dead then. Peter and Emma had 6 children.
Whether Peter came over on his own or family members also came I do not know.
His son was my Grandfatjher, Joseph Conley, who lived in Manchester.
If anyone can help I will be most gratefull.

As its a cross channel travel then those shipping records haven't been kept I,m afraid ,

The only thing you may have to go on is birth records and census records to say they must have come over beween these dates

Look for him on the 1861 census.

It is the Irish part of his life I can't find.
I know that his father Michael was a Farm labourer in Cork or Wexford and I do have a Peter Connolly in Liverpool in the 1841 census. A Francis Connolly is living with Peter and their mother and Francis was born in Liverpool.
There is no mention of a father, Michael.
Maybe I will never find out how, where and when Peter arrived in England.

I have found out that a Michael Connolly (Conolly) could have been in Liverpool in 1841.
A Peter Charles Conolly was with his mother, Mary, and brother, Francis born 1839,
In Toxteth in the 1841 census. A Francis was a witness at Peter's wedding in Shefield 18dead by then.61 and his father, Michael, was Maybe right or maybe I am barking p the wrong tree?.
