The death for Eleanor Hooson which someone posted seems too much of a coincidence not to be the right person.

Don't place too much reliance on actual dates quoted, as they can easily be wrong.

II were you, I'd get a copy of that cert.

It would be worth spending £9.25 to get a definite answer

The maiden name will be recorded, and the person who registered the death may be related

patchem

thanks for the elucidation, I must admit I hadn't seen the double entries.

Should they be on here, though?

Michelle,

You can order certificates online through the GRO. They cost £9.25.

The 2 Salford births are children of the second relationship if you look at the bmd references.

Born in February

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 10 Sep 2014 22:41

Which of the sons was (or is) your father?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 10 Sep 2014 22:39

There were four likely births during the marriage to Hodgkinson

JFM = January, February, March = the quarter of the registration of the birth you think is hers

michelle

michelle Report 10 Sep 2014 22:39

I am not sure about her siblings ,sorry what is JFM
Thanks

The woman registered in JFM 1921 had a sister

Does that match what you know about her?

Her exact date of birth will be on her birth certificate.

michelle

How do I find out her exact date of birth ?

Flip

Flip Report 10 Sep 2014 10:40

I think the marriage certificate is needed, as it looks likely to be her.

If Michelle has the right birth, Eleanor's parents appear to have married in 1920, Georgina Currie & George F(rancis) Long, their marriage certificate is on ancestry if you want a copy.

When George Francis Long died in 1958 probate was granted to his widow Georgina, his address was 185 Urmston Lane.

Good.

Could not see any signs of them in this country, so was waiting for feedback as to any further knowledge of her.

Ernest Hooson
Gender:Male
Electoral Year:1972
State:Western Australia
District:Fremantle
Subdistrict:Coolbellup

He's a machinist, living with Eleanor at 16 Juliet Road. Still at same address in 1980. However, in 1977 both the children mentioned by Pat were also at same address

If that marriage turns out to be correct, there were 2 Ernest Hooson's born in 1920s - one is on a number of trees on ancestry (death 1997 Barnsley). The other is on a tree showing he died 20/9/1985 in Coolbellup, Western Australia, giving dob 18/6/1920 - but little else.

Maybe someone with Australia experience could check if more details on the death?
