Find Ancestors

Hi!
I'm trying to find out any information about my 4 x Great Grandmother,Mary Thompson,who was born in Stratford,Essex (I think the boundaries have changed since her day) circa 1771 and her son John,my 3 x Great Grandfather,who was born circa 1788/9 also in Stratford. At some point the family moved to Wisbech,Cambridgeshire where John married. I have'nt been able to find out anything about the family's life in Stratford e.g. who Mary married or John's birth details, so any information would be most appreciated.

I know Mary's name as I picked it up on the 1841 Census but her husband must have already died. You have the correct John as I have that info too!

How is Mary related? I don't see the connection?

It's a bit of a leap of faith, just because they are both on same census page living Canal side, there's nothing to connect them...Have you found a death for Mary - or her on 1851 census?

Do you know when John Married?...

Hi!
John and Jane married in about 1813 ish as Haydon was born circa 1814,but once again I cannot find any reference to their marriage.

Looking on Cambridgeshire Marriage Index cd, can see Banns 1814 Wisbech St. Peter (John Thompson) but you would need a look up from Parish Records to see details...not seeing Marriage Find My Past to match, or below link. (that's if it was him!)
