Seeking information on this couple, married at Fordingbridge on 3/12/1809
They were my 4x great grandparents.
Can find no parents for either Edmund or Betty
Can anyone help?

Is this Fordingbridge in Hampshire?

Familysearch lists baptisms for various children in Fordingbridge, which pre-date the marriage.

The father is named as Edmund and the mother is Elizabeth eg

Name: Edmund Marlow
Gender: Male
Christening Date: 14 Mar 1803
Christening Place: Fordingbridge, Hampshire, England
Father's Name: Edmund Marlow
Mother's Name: Elizabeth Marlow
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: I03680-1 , System Origin: England-EASy , GS Film number: 1596132 , Reference ID: it 2

So either they didn't wait to tie the knot/Elizabeth was a first wife, or there is another Edmund Marlow in the area.

If he was born in 1769, I would say it's extremely unlikely that he married for the first time in 1809.

Found this burial

24th October 1814 Elizabeth (wife of Edmund) MARLOW Fordingbridge aged 45

and this one

26th May 1820 Edmund MARLOW Town aged 55

on knightsroots.co.uk but no marriage or baptisms which help.

and just to confuse matters further, could this be the same man?

May 8 1816 Edmund MARLOW & Ann KINCHINGTON both of this parish by Banns in the presence of Mary BANK & John PITTMAN

A tree on Ancestry says that they married 18 Feb. 1787, Ibsley, Hampshire.

It also lists 9 children between 1787-1811.

Are you sure they married in 1809? This looks like a possible birth for a child of the couple
