Mary, I think the enumerator made a mistake when writing his name on the census in 1901

Someone has added a correction

Mary

Mary Report 23 Nov 2014 16:47

If he is the right one Gins, is there any sign of his wife ?

Mary

In those divorce papers, there is mention of a child of the couple dying

With a not so common name, this may well be the boy

Did Caroline marry a Charles Holden, then after his death, marry a John Bridewell?

There are no London parish records for either of the above marriages, if Caroline was divorced (if it's the same woman) she would not have been allowed to marry in church.....I think

There is a death in 1955 for Caroline Bridewell but she has a middle initial 'M' though this does not show on either of the marriages

Might be worth buying the Holden/Haynes marriage certificate to check the details

Mary Report 24 Nov 2014 22:30

My word Gins you have been busy !
I re read that Divorce record but did not see any mention of a child. I wonder if Baker had anything to do with it's death ?? Could be why she was divorcing him.
Might order the child's death cert.
Thank you for looking at other marriages and deaths and I think the marriage cert will be the way to go.
Thank you once again.
