Find Ancestors

Could someone please help me solve along family mystery George Gerald Rowell left home as a teenager never to be seen or heard of again.I have managed to get his birth certificate giving 17 06 1911 also found out from Royal Artillery service number 790585 he joined up 24 January 1929 and deserted 27 July 1930 can not find out if he married or when he died. In view of the above perhaps he changed his name.Would be very grateful with any help.

I agreed with Jacqueline and remarked that people in that situation often changed parts of their identity but kept others, often given names and birthday

so I suggested getting his birth certificate to have his exact date of birth since it is recorded in the index after 1969 (if the person who registered the death knew the correct information)


I then searched the deaths index but there was no George Gerald / Gerald George with this birthdate
