Ancestry South African records

I understand that Ancestry.com purchased the South African records from Ancestry24 when they ceased trading in 2013, is this correct?

I have posted in the past looking for information, especially the death of Cyril Robert Sowter in South Africa. I did see a potential death record on Ancestry24 before they closed down but was unable to access it.

Does anybody know if and when these records will be available on Ancestry.uk?

Many thanks
Susan
