he could of named his son after his brother herbert

Thanks safc just been reading info on the site and have now found Herberts brother Fred

Fred Cooper bc 1895 Bolton (Horwich) Lancashire

no other details other than his home address and his Rank: Lieutenant

Is there any service records for Fred?

Good afternoon wondering if someone maybe able to help.

I have Herbert Allen Cooper b 1893 Bolton (Horwich) Lancashire
Looking through Find My Past site over last weekend I came across a Killed in Action papers for a Herbert Allen Cooper, but no Service Records.

So looking for Service Records if they survived

the information I have is as follows
SM Herbert Allen Cooper
Service No. 17236
Serving with The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
Killed in Action: Mesopotamia
Date of Death: 15/02/1917

Name included on the Basra Memorial
Plot: Panel 27
