Finding my grandfather

Thanks for getting back to this 3 year old thread, which you marked as answered

Realistically, as no father was named on your father’s birth cert it will never be possible to positively identify the man.

Speculation may suggest that a certain individual was the father, but only DNA matching would provide proof

Please now look at responses on your recent thread on FLR board

Nudging to keep close to new thread, which has been posted on FLR

Perhaps the poster will return this time with feedback rather than just marking as answered with no apparent word of thanks

Perhaps if you buy the 1905 birth certificate with the details posted earlier by safc then you might find that John Benton Brannon (or Benton John) might be the son of a relative of Mary and she just took him in along with Joseph Hazelbrook Brannon. Perhaps that is why it says none" in the relationship column.

MargaretM Report 16 Dec 2016 16:35

But if they were married in 1908 why is there an 8 month old son on the 1911 census with surname Brannon? Joseph Hazlebrook Brannon on Ancestry. And why are the first 4 children listed as stepchildren but for the last 2 it says "none" in relationship column? And why does it say 1 child born to that marriage and that child had died?
