Good to have got George Anderson's middle initial, might now be able to find his family before getting marr cert.,
Knew Hilda had been married to a Howard, hence Rose, however Rose didn't marry Arthur Green until 1943 ??. so why is she down as single ??

Why can i not find George on the 1911 census,
There is one, but he was born 1900. ??

Rose was still single in 1939 but they have updated the register several times in later years. It was used as the basis of the records for the NHS when that started

When a female had later married her new surname was added as a written entry


For instance my elder sister was born in 1931.and she married in 1955 and her married surname has been written on her record. .plus too her record is open as they have picked up that she passed away in.2002

It depends where George was born , there are several George S Anderson on the 1911 census

You need the married cert for his father's name
