I can't find them at the moment but on the 1911 census Henry Garfield is described as "adopted grandson" on the image and not "adopted son".

Hi everybody, just wondering if anyone can help before I go crazy.

I am researching Wilkins family and cannot work out what happened to Johnny Wilkins.
He was born 1871 in Llangedeirn, Carmarthenshire to John Wilkins & Eliza Rees
He married Emily May Walters in 1892 and had 3 kids (Edna May, Vernon Lloyd (my partners great grandfather), & Mildred Norma). Emily died in 1897.

Johnny remarried in 1902 to Mary Ann James. I have recently found he had 2 more kids Beatrice Mona (1903) & Henry Garfield (1904)

Henry Garfield wilkins is on the 1911 census with another family as 'adopted son'. I can't find Beatrice on 1911 census but is on 1939 register living with Margaret Webb (nee James) her Auntie, she married Walter Filby in 1946.

I can't find Johnny or Mary Ann on the 1911 census nor any trace of them after the birth of Henry in 1904. Can anyone help? I wonder why the 2 youngest kids seemingly ended up abandoned!
