Already posted, Maddie - also 1851 for Charles and two of the children.

Marriage (if any) must have been before 1847. But can't see it anywhere.

Thank you all for all your help For finding Barbara's maiden name.[Larter] Still need to find Susannah's maiden name who married William Temple in 1860.jenny

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 9 Feb 2017 21:55

Jennifer -
Susannah's maiden name is Larter.

We don't know the maiden name of Barbara who married Charles (if they married at all.)

There doesn't seem to be any record of Martha and George's births in Hull, nor of Charles jr's in either Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire.
If Charles and Barbara weren't married, maybe they were registered with a different surname. (But if so, I still don't see them.)

Without reading back through all this thread, I seem to think there was some mention of possible Romany links?

If that applies to the Temples, maybe they just didn't register the children's births - not sure if that would be possible.
