I have been asked by a friend to do research on the above but haven't a clue where to start on records in the Republic of Ireland.

The only information I have on Thomas Gerard O'Dwyer is that he was born on the 12.05.1933 in Adare, County Limerick in Ireland and died in Leicester, England on the 2nd July 2005.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, Irish records tend to be quite patchy.

There's no sign of Thomas's birth on irishgenalogy.ie - a mostly useful free site, but not exhaustive.
