I wonder if someone could help me to sort out this family.
I'll try my best to put things in order.

DOBSON, GEORGE - GRO Reference: 1851 M Quarter NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME Volume 17 Page 94

and his twin sister

DOBSON, MARY -
GRO Reference: 1851 M Quarter in NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME Volume 17 Page 93

Their mother was ELIZA DOBSON born 1832 in Betley Staffordshire and there was no fathers name on George and Marys birth certificate

GEORGE and MARY although registered as DOBSON they were brought up with the surname KEEN

The first sighting I have is of ELIZA DOBSON on the 1841 census on ancestry

The names were transcribed incorrectly
Eliza was living with William and Mary KUN ( this should be KEEN )
and ELIZA DOPSON is their granddaughter aged 9

ELIZA and her twins GEORGE and MARY are now using the surname KEEN
The census says George is 3 years but he is 3 months

GEORGE marries HANNAH HEYWOOD in 1880 and on his marriage certificate his surname is KEEN and no fathers name given.

I suppose what I am trying to find out is how ELIZA DOBSON is related to the KEEN family. I know on the 2 census it states she is granddaughter but I am trying to find out who her parents were.

Any help would be very much appreciated .

You need to try to find Eliza’s baptism - have you tried Staffs Records Office?

I had totally forgotten that I had posted on here 4 months ago regarding George.

I apologise for using peoples time

I have been in conctact with Staffordshire Records Office and with the little information I have they couldnt help me but referred me to their records on FindMy Past.

You say early in your post that Eliza is living (1841) with her Keen grandparents. :-S

HAve you found Eliza's birth and HER parents and linked them to the older keens?

Thank you to everyone for looking at this and I humbly apologise for not checking that i had made a post 4 months ago regarding this.

Ive had a lot going on and hadnt gone back to check.
