	This is for a friend so limited info - but can anyone help find the birth of Joseph Martin? All i have is... Age 9 in 1871 in an orphanage / house with 11 other boys owned by a priest called Daniel Haigh. Born Conderton, Worcestershire. That's all i have :( Thank you! <3

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,496 Send Message	From the free to use site which shows Mother's maiden name -https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp#Results Name: Mother's Maiden Surname: MARTIN, JOSEPH HICKS GRO Reference: 1863 J Quarter in WITNEY Volume 03A Page 613 IF this is the correct birth. Witney would not cover the place he is said to be born on that 1871 census - ie Conderton which is Worcestershire and a Tewkesbury RD

	A child aged 9 on 1871 census would have been born no later than 2nd April 1862 - assuming that the info given is accurate
