I am looking for any information on Joseph and Rebecca Hunter. Family history states that they were born in Scotland, about 1820, and migrated to Ireland. Not sure if Rebecca was born in Scotland or Ireland. Church burned down in Ireland and no records are available by standard search.
I have the passenger list for their move to the USA around 1852.

If the church burnt down then the parish records will have been destroyed. They may appear on a Scottish census but there is no equivalent in Ireland as they were destroyed.
Use Scotland’s people as suggested to find their births and hopefully their marriage.

Presume married rather than say - brother and sister
If married, did they have children - their names may give clues ie naming patterns were quite common in Scotland / Ireland
Do you have the family on a census - when and where - can you post or at least give year, ages and address at the time

There is no parish record of them marrying in Scotland - which doesn't mean they didn't.
Also no record of them marrying in Ireland, at least per irishgenealogy.ie
Their children (or at least all that there are death records for on FS) :
Robert 1844; Joseph 1847-9; both born in Ireland.
William A 1856; John 1859; Maria 1860.; both born at Antioch, Lake, Illinois.

This is the only Rebecca George baptism on Scotland's People - but that DOESN'T mean it's the right one.
