Of course, by definition, the GRO holds records only from 1st July 1837

I can't get into it Erika. It takes me to the passport page something I have never had. I can log in but it all looks different.

You do realise you have to register?
It is completely free and, in my opinion, very easy to use.

Can you still search the GRO index for births before 1841? I don't understand the site now. How long has it been changed please?
