My hodkins seem to have came from dbys & walked to sheffield. Alonzo hodkin was my grandad & he married lydia bertha boulby. The chesterfield hodkins are probably related as far as i can see.

My grandmother was lydia bertha boulby 1883.
She was from the famous boulby clan :)
they seem to have lost their fortunes.
I now have info from eng. usa,aust. on the boulby clan,several variations on how they changed their surnames to bowlby,boultbee etc.,
Just recently found a boulby clan in sheffield,but guy i found has
no info on his line.
Yes the chesterfield mob are related.
