My great great grandfather was called Ellis Ainsworth born 1826. He married Ann Bleakley in 1851. The father to Ellis, was Samuel AINSWORTH I gather he would be born circa 1795. give or take several years. The area of the family was Whitefield, Radcliffe, Pilkington Unsworth and Prestwich areas of Lancashire. They are all with a few miles of each other. Any information re this Samuel Ainsworth would be appreciated as I have hit a brick wall. Thank you. Mel, Australia. I have now learned through Y-DNA testing that I have a relationship to Edward Ainsworth born 1652, Lincolnshire but that could be Lancashire.? Is anyone else related to this Edward Ainsworth he went to America . His father was said to be John Anchor Ainsworth born 1625,? Any information appreciated. Mel Australia.
